Realizing educational challenges could be answered with cost-effective technology, Daniel Franc, expanded his team of developers both in U.S. and abroad to mature the WebStudy solution. Curt Corbi and Gisele Larose oversaw the management and collaboration with their Charter Customers and a group of international associates and content producers to expand the product suite to include the WebStudy® Course Management System as well as CourseStream, CourseLive and WebCouncil.

Today, all three founding principals are active management partners charting the growth and evolution of the company

President

Gisele has 20 years of experience in healthcare education, marketing, and product sales. Previous accountabilities include Vice President of Clinical Affairs and Product Support for TheraKinetics (a durable medical equipment manufacturer), where Gisele developed and implemented a successful clinical sales training platform. The organization experienced accelerated growth during her tenure. As Division Director of Continuing Education at NovaCare, Inc., a Fortune 1000 organization, Gisele held regional, and then national accountabilities in marketing and corporate training.

Chief Technology Officer

Curt brings 30 years of experience in information technology, product and project management and business development experience. Curt has held numerous managerial and entrepreneurial positions including Director of Information Services for Hahnemann University Hospital and Manager of Large Systems Support for Rorer Group (currently Rhone Poulenc Rorer). In 1986, Curt launched Intersystems Technology, Inc., an information technology-consulting firm designed to construct customized software solutions. The firm’s growth resulted in the development and marketing of BCAT™, a bar-coded asset-tracking software application.

Daniel Franc created the WebStudy technology shortly after completing his Masters degree from West Chester University in Pennsylvania. Daniel brings a big picture view to educational technology thanks to his international experience and education combining Internet development, organizational development, sociology, and experiential learning - seasoned with global considerations because of his Czech origin. Daniel was a former Outward Bound Trainer. He is a published author on the subject of e-learning and a member of the European Tutor Network ENTA.

Douglas McConatha was the prime mover and primary inspiration of WebStudy (at the time called CourseWare 1.0) to leverage the emerging Internet as an educational tool in 1995.   He has been a professor, department chair and Dean during his 25 year academic career and has written numerous articles on learning and published books in his fields of expertise.   In 1996 he began looking for ways to use the Internet to reach more students in Higher Education.   WebStudy was the outgrowth his vision of the future of learning and brought to fruition with the technical expertise of Daniel Franc and the entrepreneurial business and management experience of Curt Corbi .   As a consultant and innovator in the field of educational technology Dr. McConatha continues to lecture and advise national and international corporations on the future of digital based learning. He was awarded the 2006-2007 Lindback Distinguished Teaching Award from West Chester University of Pennsylvania for his continuing work in digital education innovation.

In 2004, WebStudy was certified by SCORM, a collection of standards and specifications adapted from multiple sources to provide a comprehensive suite of e-learning capabilities that enable interoperability, accessibility and reusability of Web-based learning content.
